Treehouse Cosmetics
A branding exercise for a hypothetical skincare company.
- Geometric shapes & symmetry
- Modern attitude/values & transparency
- Tagline: all nature. just like you.
Below are three different Instagram post ideas including the core branding of Treehouse. The layers of circles are one of the main indentities for the brand. The geometric designs are modern - simple in a way that they don’t distract from the message, and suggest unity and wholeness.
The first format is as timeless and relatable as it gets in today’s society. It can be used continuously to convey messages to viewers. The second post is an informational post about recycling in anticipation of Earth Day. The third post creates an opportunity for the brand to interact with followers. This post will have great engagement and end up in more explore pages and feeds due to the volume of comments.

I created this next series as an attempt at a modern (almost futuristic), “shocking” approach to a traditional skincare social post. The real information would be in the caption which they’d be more likely to view after seeing the photo that isn’t typical of the brand. It could also be as simple as a fun format to be played with. I used a 3D design software called MetaHuman in Unreal Engine which specializes in creating realistic 3D characters in an incredibly efficient manner.

After completing this series, I had the idea that it could be fleshed out into a campaign comparing real images of humans vs. animated images. The message would be the classic “not everything you see on the internet is true [or the best, ideal, etc]”. The images of the 3D models would include sad facial expressions, while the images of the real humans would include happy expressions. Then the brand concludes in their message that it values the natural aspects of the real humans and suggesting to the consumer that it is perfectly fine to be dealing with acne, scars, etc. The brand is establishing a connection between the viewer and explicitly telling them who the product is for.
